Since fall of 2017, the last Friday of the month at The Village Idiot in Maumee, OH has been home field to what has become the biggest monthly party of live music, award-winning pizza, and community connection: The Daydrinkers. The band is made up of career musicians who each find themselves performing in a multitude of projects & venues throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, and commit to gather monthly for this dedicated time. The band regularly welcomes special guests, further broadening the awareness of working artists to their faithful patrons.
On rare occasion, the band will perform outside of the Village Idiot for larger one-offs and/or charity functions: Perrysburg's Music at the Market, Toledo's Party in the Park, Uptown Maumee's July 3rd Music Fest, and Port Clinton's Music on Madison to name a few. For a short stint in 2020-2021, they found themselves a temporary home at Cinco de Mayo in Rossford, OH thanks to the outdoor option available while the world navigated through Covid.
